Just So I Remember...

A family in our neighborhood is getting a new pool. As we passed their home one morning, one of the girls asked when we would get a pool. This conversation followed...

Mommy: Pools are very expensive. We would have to save a lot of money to get one.
Nathan: I know, Mommy! You could stand on the sidewalk and sing and people could put money in a can for you.
Mommy: Do you think we'd get enough money that way?
Nathan: (long pause) Well, we'd have to get a really big can!

As we drove from Visalia to Hanford, Nathan kept commenting, "Those crops are growing really well!"

In a restaurant in Los Osos, Nathan said, "This restaurant must be really old!" I asked him why he thought it was old, and he pointed to the ceiling and announced, "Because there's a cobweb up there!"

Shortly after this observation, Nathan fell asleep sitting upright in his chair!
