We celebrated Independence Day at the coast this year - what a treat! We enjoyed the parade in Cayucos, along with nearly 35,000 other spectators. It was amazing how many people came to their parade! We had a great time watching all of the entries, ranging from belly dancers to baton twirlers, classic cars to circular bicycles, and plenty of other entertaining entries! It was a taste of small-town America - and I loved it!
Here the kids are squinting up into the sun. After overcast skies, it turned out to be clear and sunny for the parade (leaving me with a terrible sunburn!).
