Last Saturday, we had a great time celebrating my birthday. It all began with a little boy crawling into bed at 6:00, flinging his arms around my neck and then falling back to sleep. Then two sweet girls came in quietly and said, "Happy Birthday!" Nathan woke up and began singing to me. That was a great way to begin my special day!

I highly recommend weekend birthdays. We were all together all day long - and it was a great day! Phil spoiled me by making me breakfast, working on the laundry, and taking us out to dinner. I received several gifts, but my most treasured gifts are pictured below!
We didn't have a birthday cake, but we splurged and had some yummy donuts. Phil caught a picture just after I blew out the candle. Notice we didn't even attempt to put the correct number of candles on the donut!
My birthday had a fitting end. As I read books to the kids on the couch, Nathan fell asleep on my lap. Oh, I treasure these moments! I am so blessed to have a loving husband and such sweet children. My cup is full!
