Several weeks ago, the kindergarten newsletter came home requesting that the children wear shoes with laces to school. They are working on learning how to tie their shoes. The first day I asked Allie to wear lace-up shoes, she burst into tears! You see, our sunshine girl has become quite the "girly-girl" lately. She wanted to wear her pretty shoes! We ended up going shopping to find tennis shoes that she likes. We were successful - we came home with the pinkest, sparkliest shoes ever. Now Allie is determined to learn to tie her shoes. She spends lots of time sitting and practicing. And while her style is a bit unconventional, she has had some success! Doesn't she look proud?
