We are really enjoying our summer so far. This morning, Allie announced, "It seems like every day is a weekend now!" It is so much fun to have the kids home! This afternoon, we made sidewalk paint, using a recipe found in The Stuff that Fun is Made Of (a wonderful book - thanks, Vicki!). We combined cornstarch, water, and food coloring to create sidewalk paint. Then we headed outside and got busy. The girls enjoyed making butterflies, flowers, suns, and other pictures, while Nathan was busy making lines and writing some letters. One of our neighbor friends even joined in the fun. This was an easy project and everyone loved it. (The paint will wash off easily with water). We'll definitely be doing this project again!

We tried this today, it was SO COOL!! Corn starch is going on my Costco list so we can do this regularly throughout the summer. Thanks for the suggestion!
